Gliding at Booker Gliding Club

Your half day at the club includes three flights by aero tow, course notes, all tuition, and a month's club membership (giving you reduced rates for flying) so you can return for more if you wish!

Duration
You'll spend about half a day gliding, although you are welcome to stay at the centre all day.

Group Size
It'll just be you and the instructor.

Spectators
You're welcome to bring family and friends to watch you take to the sky.

Restrictions
Maximum weight 102kg (16 stone), maximum height 1.93m (6ft 4). It is not suitable if you suffer from epilepsy, fits, severe head injuries, recurrent fainting, giddiness or blackouts, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart conditions or if you are pregnant.

No experience or qualifications are necessary for your flight. You will be asked to sign an alcohol declaration before going to the launch point. No alcohol should be consumed within 24 hours of your flight.

Age
You need to be at least 14 years old to participate in this activity.

Expiry
