Typical Programme
Your adventure begins with a pre-flight briefing to familiarise yourself with the controls of this historic aircraft. Seated behind your instructor, you taxi out to the runway and then take to the skies for a flight of pure nostalgia.

During the flight you'll have the chance to take the controls; cruising at a speed of around 80 knots (just over 80 miles per hour) you'll have a fantastic view of the hedgerows, trees, people, their houses and cars.

Duration
Your flight will last around 20 minutes but you'll be at the activity centre for around 1 hour.

Group Size
It's just you and the instructor.

Spectators
You're welcome to bring family and friends along to watch you take to the sky.

Restrictions
The maximum weight is 102kg (16 stone), the maximum height is 1.93m (6ft 4). You must be fit without no heart problems, agile as embarking and disembarking is difficult and requires flexibility. This may not be suitable for pregnant women.

No previous experience or qualifications are required to take part in this activity.

Age Restrictions
To participate in this activity you must be at least 14 years old.

Availability
Limited selected Monday to Friday dates, mainly April to September.

Expiry

Fantastic experience
"Partner always wanted to fly a tiger moth so bought him this experience for his birthday. Booked into Duxford for his flying experience and received free entry into Duxford museum. He loved the flight and shows everyone the DVD of him flying the tiger moth. The museum was the best we have ever seen and it took a full day to go around it all. Needless to say, it was a fantastic day out."
