Calendars are often given as gifts and if you choose the right type they can actually make brilliant presents! There are a few problems with the ones you buy on the high street though. They usually have a fixed start date somewhere near the end of last year or January and that means you can often turn pages of wasted months before you even start using one.

On top of that regular calendars just aren't personal enough. They don't really show the recipient how much you care about them do they? Sometimes seen as a bit of a cheap and cheerful but a somewhat uninspired present, most of the calendars sold on the high street aren't so amazing; however, personalised calendars are a totally different story!

Like we said, calendars can make really cool gifts. You just need to choose personalised calendars instead of the ordinary ones from boring gift shops. With personalised calendars you can start at any month of the year so there are no wasted months and that means you can start on birthday months too instead of just the last week of December or first week in January!

Because they're personalised they also have another advantage over their more boring counterparts and that is the fact that you can have any name or nickname incorporated in to the image for each month! You don't really get more personal than that.

Birthdays
Like we've already said, with a conventional calendar you might find it hard to give them as a birthday present because there could be half a year wasted if you do! However, personalised calendars make perfect birthday presents because you can start them in any month you like and they might even help the birthday boy or girl to remember when it's your birthday.

We strongly recommend personalised calendars as birthday presents for people who are forgetful; although there are times when even those of us with the greatest memories have so many important dates in our heads that it's hard to remember them all. Christmas
Calendars have always been a popular Christmas present but personalised calendars just step this old classic up a gear because they have the name of the person they're printed for on each image. Although not usually associated with weddings, a personalised calendar can be a great token gift for a new couple. You can start it on the month of the marriage and then they'll have a record of all the important dates of their first year of wedded bliss. It can also help in planning the honeymoon and time off work for relaxation!

New Babies
Equally, by getting personalised calendars for new babies you offer the new parents a way to log important dates in the first year of their child's life. Also, as well as being an interesting item to look back on in the future it can help new mums and dads to organise their lives around the bundle of joy and make sure they get to any important appointments on time.

New Courses
For students going away to university personalised calendars have so many uses. They can put down the times and rooms for all of their lectures when they first get to university and also note down any club or society meetings they want to join in with regularly. Additionally, they can add study time to stay disciplined and of course, most importantly add the dates of any amazing house parties, club nights and social events that are coming up.
