Have you ever had one of those days where everything just seems to go wrong and you go home after a day of broken cups, spilled drinks, missed deadlines and arguments. Normally on these days there is only one person that you look for, unless it was so bad that you have to go into hiding under your duvet. That one person, whether they are funny, your loved one, or perhaps even your mum, you go to them for the simple reason that you know that they will make you feel better and hopefully throw a few humorous gifts
into the mix. It might seem selfish, but at that particular moment in time you need it to be just about you. Really, that is the ultimate definition of a good friend. Someone that makes you feel good. You are hardly going to become friends with and spend a large majority of your time with someone that makes you feel five inches tall and completely useless to the world. We make friends to boost our egos. Now that may sound harsh but it is true. Of course there are the added bonuses of having someone to spend your time with and share your interests, but ultimately you are not going to be friends with them if you don't enjoy spending time with them.
Now let's turn the tables around. So a friend comes to visit you. It is clear from the look on their face that they have had a bad day and a couple of humorous gifts might not do the trick. Whether it is because they have split up with their partner or just been sacked, the reason they are there is for you to cheer them up. Of course you are the best person to know how to do that and you don't mind doing it at all. Perhaps you take them to the pub and the cinema, the main aim in your mind is always to take their mind off their problems. Of course you might need to confront the problem first and talk it through, but spend too much time doing this and you are going to end up with a lot of tears. You need to make them laugh with some humorous gifts
and forget why they were so upset in the first place. The main reason why you need them to laugh is simple. Life is too short. If we spent every day considering all the reasons why something went wrong, or why the waitress spilled your coffee that morning you would never get anything done and you would simply be wasting your time. Life is too short to consider all the bad things in the world. We need to be spending our lives in a happy way, so that when we look back we can honestly say, 'Yes, I've had a good life'.
Of all the different ways you might choose to cheer up that teary eyed friend humorous gifts might not be at the top of your list. But why not. You buy humorous gifts for birthday and Christmas and you do that for the same reason, to make someone feel good. If someone has just broken up with their girlfriend an inflatable wife is certainly not going to solve the situation, but it will certainly get a smile out of them. And later on when they are married and thinking back over their past relationships and happen to stumble upon a somewhat deflated woman, they would be unable to be sour about that relationship. Granted their wife might not be too happy about it, but how could she be angry about humorous gifts. humorous gifts
have the wonderful ability to take someone's mind off the initial problem at hand and just consider for a moment, 'Why has my friend given me a Become a Chavette gift set'. It may be silly but it takes your mind off the problem at hand and that is why you went to that friend in the first place. To lift your spirits. At the end of the day the problem will always be there when you go back to it. But after a giggle and some space you are able to think logically about the problem and sort it out quickly. Humorous gifts aren't exactly a solution to the world's problems and can never become that, but they do give us the chance to gain a bit of perspective and take life one day at a time. If a flying chicken is thrown into your day, I doubt anyone would be complaining, because they would quite simply be too busy laughing.
