There are so many birthdays in the average person's calendar. There are the gifts for loved ones and relatives, presents for friends and colleagues at work and then there are the little presents and token gifts for neighbours and distant old friends. If you're feeling low on birthday present ideas, don't despair. There are funky and cool gifts out there to suit all kinds of pockets and price ranges and all kinds of moods and ages. We'd recommend looking online before you rush out to a gift store though because you'll find much cheaper deals on the internet on the same products than you'll find in a high street gift store.

One reason for this is that online stores don't need to pay lots of retail staff to serve you, making overheads smaller and another reason is that instead of shopping to a store and then paying rent to be held in a stock room gifts sold in online gift stores are often shipped straight from the manufacturer to you. What that means is, you get the presents (or the recipient gets them) faster and at a fraction of the cost.
There are a few things that you can buy and always keep in the house ahead of time for quick fix birthday present ideas! When you forgot that special day was coming up, it's much better if you have access to sticky tape, good scissors and some tasteful wrapping paper, than if you have to go out and try to find some. Some people also like to buy a few birthday cards which they find cute or amusing just in case they hear about a birthday they had forgotten was coming up. Meanwhile other people much prefer to buy cards with a very specific person in mind!

Chances are you have a price range to think about as well, for example a small present for a neighbour might need to be something cute for under £5 while a present for a husband or relative might have a budget as high as over £50. Sticking with the theme of personalised birthday present ideas, dads who love a beer would probably be over the moon if they received an engraved tankard and there are tons of presents such as money boxes and trinket boxes that mums would love too.
It might seem fussy to get an engraved gift for someone and not 'easy' at all but that's not the case. Often engraved gifts can arrive within a couple of working days or even the next day in some cases and you can specify what you want to be engraved on an item when you order it, saving you the hassle of going and buying the product separately and then going to the engravers separately to personalise it.
By thinking about things in advance and planning ahead you'll definitely pick out presents that are more meaningful. But if you're in a rush, opting for personalised products is a great way to still send something sentimental. A mug with your brother or sister's name on it can really make them smile and will also give them something to cosy up with when they watch the TV!
