Many people steer clear of romantic or heartfelt gifts as they sometimes run the risk of looking cheesy or tacky. Instead they often buy practical gifts that may be welcomed but never really have the X factor. However, it doesn't have to be this way, there are plenty of Gifts out there that are meaningful and unique yet scream of class not cheese.

If he's always fancied himself as a bit of a James Bond character give him the experience of a lifetime by treating him to a spy day where he learns the skills to conduct secret operations like real spies, for the outdoor type let them try their hand at surfing, or for an exhilarating day out or try a day ice climbing or kayaking for a real thrill.

For that all important anniversary, avoid looking cheesy and buy your partner a luxury gift. Splash out by buying champagne to celebrate the special day. For an extra twist buy your partner personalised champagne to celebrate your love. Try something other than the conventional flowers and chocolates by buying your partner a rose apple crate with a personalised unique and loving message on the crate. If it is a special occasion such as an 18th birthday, get a stunning gift that will stand the test of time. You can buy some gorgeous paperweights for very reasonable prices or a beautiful keepsake box that is sure to be cherished by its owner. A balloon in a box is another great idea for a present that is sure to surprise the birthday girl or boy on their big day.

For that special occasion or just to show how much they mean to you, choose Gifts that are truly meaningful. For that extra special person, you need an extra special present meaning that run of the mill chocolates, flowers and teddy bears just won't do.

However, there are plenty of gifts out there that don't run the risk of being seen as cheesy. Make sure your gift is suitably personal, showing you have put thought into the present and know them well. Try an experience day for a really memorable experience; this is a brilliant idea as there is something to cater for every individual's tastes. Finally, a more personal gift is a great way to show how much you care whilst being far from cheesy.
