Knowing that you need to pick a gift for a friend, loved one or colleague tends to divide most people into two camps. The first group are likely to feel extremely excited at this blank canvas of gift buying opportunities, and the chance to wander the shops at will picking out things that catch their eye... and the second are likely to view the task ahead with no small amount of rising nervousness, as their hearts sink at the prospect of an afternoon's shopping and the likelihood of returning with nothing - or even worse, a last minute hurried purchase which has no bearing on the giver or recipient, and at worst could be a little insulting!
