                For married couples there are two major 'loved up days' each year. There's Valentine's Day and there's your wedding anniversary. Both are opportunities to show your husband or wife how much you love them, how happy you are to be married to them and most importantly, how incredibly sexy you are. 

Some of us love getting dressed up and do it all year round but if you're a busy body and a workaholic like so many other people, your partner might be more used to seeing you in your pyjamas than a nice shirt or dress. A romantic weekend away can be a superb way to celebrate your marriage. It can be like a mini honeymoon together. You can stop thinking about work and all of the ordinary stuff you have to deal with at home and clear your head. 

It's good to get away for so many reasons. Tickets to Paris or another special destination make for great anniversary gifts and spending the night together in a hotel can help you both to remember how lucky you are to have each other.

If hotels seem too expensive, you could have a special day together with an experience day. If you're thrill seekers there's everything from sky diving to race car driving on offer, but for traditional romance, there are some excellent packages for couples which range from dinner and a night at the theatre, through to dance lessons or a day behind the wheel of a classic car perfect for a picnic.

If getting away from it all is too expensive then why not make your home a haven instead and take care of each other for the night. Play some of your favourite music, sip good wine, eat delicious food and talk about all the wonderful times you've spent together. Think about how you both met and how you've both changed since then, - but are still so good together!

In some ways, you may find that you've already got the best anniversary gifts in the world already - each other.
