How To Make A Good Impression With A Personalised Mug | Personalised Mugs from GettingPersonal.co.uk
The first time you ever see someone, even before you have actually met them, you instantly create an impression of who they are and what they are like. Even on the telephone, you take what you can from someone's voice and the way they speak and develop a picture of that person in your mind. Sometimes it isn't a particularly good or positive image and is completely turned around once you get to know the person better. It is a natural part of our lives and because of that we are all aware of how we dress, act and even our body language in order to promote a good impression. A lot of people take this to such an extent that they are even aware of the things that they eat and drink in order to avoid people creating a false image of them in their minds. Although it shouldn't matter all that much what someone thinks of you, for some reason we cannot help being affected by other people's opinions of us. When you invite someone into your home you normally have a good tidy up and make sure the place is perfect for the visitor. I'm sure this is initially for the visitor's comfort, but a part of it is also based around impressions. You certainly do not want your visitor thinking badly of you just because you have a rather messy teenage son. However, do you ever consider what the things inside your cupboard say about you? The plates, bowls, glasses and especially the mugs. If you cupboard is full of plastic cups it is pretty clear that you must have children. If your cupboard is full of delicate floral cups and saucers one might assume they were a wedding present or perhaps part of some inheritance. If your cupboard is full of an assortment of different
personalised mugs
ranging from the very crude to the 'World's Best Dad', what does that say about you? Personalised mugs are certainly not the be all and end all of an impression someone may make about you, but they do contribute to that impression.
It is an odd concept to consider that personalised mugs might determine who you are as a person and really that might be taking it a bit far. But the types of personalised mugs that you have at home, or the personalised mug that you use at work makes a definite statement about you. I'm sure no-one would make an everlasting and definitive judgment on you based on your personalised 'Whip Mug', at least I hope not, but they might be a little suspicious about your character. However they might simply realise that you are a down-to-earth person with some friends with a comedic taste in gifts.
personalised mugs
are quite simply a comforting and funny gift for anyone. With the levels of professionalism in the world today, quite a few people need to be given the chance to take a step back from themselves and just have a laugh. People rarely consider the impression they are actually making upon themselves. If you spend every day of your week struggling to meet deadlines and create the right impression with colleagues and business associates, you will eventually lose touch with the real world and who you really are. Personalised mugs might just be personalised mugs but they can also be a chance to have a giggle and forget the stresses and strains of everyday life. Have you ever suspected that tucked somewhere behind all the bone china, someone in the Royal Family might just have a treasured 'Wonder Woman' personalised mug? We don't often think about that sort of thing, but it is perfectly likely.
If you consider all the different things that your
personalised mugs
could say about you you might be quick to change them. I doubt a young mechanic would happily take a 'World's Best Mum' personalised mug to work with the lads. If he did the rumours would quickly start and although it might be quite a humorous day at work, it isn't quite the type of impression he would ideally like to make on his work mates. Similarly, a teacher wouldn't turn up to work wearing an air hostess saucy outfit, nor would she take a 'Personalised Birthday Hunk' mug to work. When it comes to creating a good impression we consider a lot of things and take great care over our appearance. The one thing people frequently miss is what their mugs might be saying about them. Although it might not be a particularly important statement, it is none-the-less a statement.
