Does anyone really know how to speak the language of love? Is there even a language of love, or is it all a facade? These questions don't really matter when it comes to Valentines Day. All that matters is that we express our love in a suitable and heartfelt manner and above all, that we put some effort into it. Valentines Day cards are an age old form of expression on this special day and they come in many different shapes and sizes, but finding the perfect card is a great deal harder than you might expect. No matter who you might be buying the card for, it needs to encompass all your innermost feelings for that special person. This might seem like a rather large task for such a small card, but it is of course possible. Depending on who you might be buying for, there is a good chance that you might be up against some strong competition. When you are using Valentines Day to show someone that you do not know particularly well that you are a secret admirer the necessity for presents and flowers is not as high as for a partner. However, the card that you give has to be exactly right, or it is wasted. True and sincere romance is rarely needed in such a case and if someone were to open an envelope to find an overtly romantic and completely over the top personalised Valentines card it is unlikely that they would instantly fall in love. In fact, it is more likely that they would be completely put off that person. What is needed in such a case is an understanding of the humour of the situation and a reflection of this in the card choice. Humorous cards don't always state romantic sentiments but with a touch of personalisation they can easily become a great deal more than simple humorous Personalised Valentine's Day Cards. On the outside may be a Horny Devil, but on the inside of the card there could be a much more sentimental message that is truly meant from the heart. This is the perfect way to win someone over as you not only demonstrate your down-to-earth sensibility but you also show that you are genuine.

A more suitable Valentines Day card would be hard to find. This simple gesture could quickly turn into a first date and before you know it you are searching around for next year's personalised Valentines Day cards, but this time for your girlfriend. Romance need not be forced on Valentines Day. It should come naturally and from the heart. Whether this means showing romance through humour or through red roses, whatever feels natural is the way to go. If you are false at such a key stage the recipient will know and the relationship will go no further. Valentines Day may be for fun, but it can change relationships if you do not get it right. So put some thought and effort into it this year and send a card from the heart.
