A good rule of thumb is to avoid risqué calendars for work mates. Unless of course, you know that it's exactly the sort of thing to prompt a giggle and totally positive response.

With personalised calendars you can start in any month you like, so for birthday presents it's a good idea to start in the birthday month (unless the date is right at the end of a month) and a January start is good for Christmas gift calendars.
