Some people who are not familiar with christenings assume that if they're invited to one they have to get a christening presents for the child or family. However, that's not actually traditionally the case. The main thing that guests need to contribute is their congratulations!

Once finished it can be sent back to you to give to the baby's parents when they receive the other christening presents or it can be sent directly on to them. What you end up with is a totally unique gift because every baby's finger print is entirely different.
This is just one of the many christening presents out there which is great because it's personalised. There are plenty other ideas though and personalised christening presents are brilliant because they create a bond and engage specifically with the recipients. If you want to create a stir by giving the parents of the child some really interesting christening presents then you might consider experience days. Experience days vary in price and can be as little as £20 each or as much as £500. The point of an experience day is to give someone the gift of an activity they would not normally get to experience.
You can soothe the nerves of tired new parents by giving them an experience day relaxing and getting treatments at a spa for example, or send them to learn to dance and rekindle some of the romance they may have depleted by being so dedicated to their new baby.
There are countless different kinds of experience day on offer but the romantic and relaxing experiences make great christening presents for devoted parents and offer a respite from all the hard work which caring for a new born entails. If you're thinking about getting luxurious gifts for the parents of the baby then experience days can be a great alternative to a traditional hamper, flowers or fruit basket. Who doesn't love the idea of a massage, swim and sauna trip?

Worth Keeping Forever
Keepsakes are very traditional christening presents and they're these ageless objects that are worth keeping forever and cherishing for a whole lifetime. Placed somewhere prominent in the house they can act as a reminder of the baby's religious faith and the dedication to them by other family members and friends such as their godparents.
Photo albums and frames make wonderful keepsakes along with personalised money and trinket boxes, specially made paper weight style mementos which say the word 'christening' and decorative items such as snow globes.
