What goes without saying is that the festive period is one of immense stress. Whether it is the thought of preparing a gigantic meal, never mind shopping for it, as well as arranging family trips and, possibly more perturbing, the thought of having to go out and take to the embattled high street, trawling up the freezing road in the glare of shops that throng with human traffic. In fact, just typing that sentence has brought me out in a slightly depressing sweat, so let's look at the good points. Against this gift buying and Christmas background, we come to the main thrust of this article. Amongst all the rigmarole of running around, organising and stressing out, you might accidentally forget about the most important person in your life, your other half. Now, Christmas is a period where you will intend to share a lot of joy around a lot of people, but it stands to reason that you will hope to treat your significant other, well, a little more significantly.
