As I have recently learned, even in today's world there are still people out there that will go out of their way to help others especially if they are stuck and really need some help........even if it means pushing a car that is stuck in the snow, which is what a stranger recently did for this writer.
I felt so overwhelmed by the kindness she showed a complete stranger, that later on that day when the snow had cleared up enough for me to drive safely I went to her home with a big box of chocolates and a thank you card. It was the last thing that she expected and she was so surprised to see me again but saying thank you was the least I could do after she went out of her way to assist me.
Showing someone how much you appreciate something they have done for you - even if it's only something small - will mean a great deal to that person. Even if all you do is buy a thank you card you will be surprised by the reception it receives. People do not take the time to say thank you - it is all to often taken for granted that the person knows we appreciate what they have done for us so we rarely say those two little words but they can bring so much joy!!
