Their First Occasion For Gifts

At last there is a new kid on the block. The new baby has arrived, receiving a torrent of excited visitors, all eager to catch a glimpse of this new life as soon as possible, as though it was suddenly going to erupt into a fully grown adult in the next few days. People love to set eyes on the new born child as early as possible. Babies do change rapidly in the first few weeks of their lives. They start increasing their weight, grow bigger, and learn new and basic skills like looking around at their surroundings, attempting eye contact and doing the windy smile thing that is so cute. All the time their development is improving, they are receiving baby gifts, at first on a daily basis and in truck loads almost, but gradually, as word finishes filtering through the grapevine that the next great genius has put in an appearance, the baby gifts begin to dwindle in regularity. It is always amazing how generous friends and family are when it comes to providing baby gifts. What with the baby shower prior to the birth, and all new mum and dad's workmates pooling their donations together to buy something really impressive, there is nothing that this new baby is going to lack. There will probably be many home made baby gifts such as crocheted shawls and blankets, hand knitted cardies and bootees which will soon be too small for the ever growing child and perhaps a wooden toy or two lovingly built by the new grandpa. But if your craft skills are not up to much, and whose are these days in an age when we are busy chasing our own tails to get everything in our lives done, it is never too early to start considering what your baby gift is going to be. The new baby will probably not be aware of all his or her fabulous new baby gifts at this early stage, but mum and dad certainly will, and it will be they that will be thanking you and showing their appreciation to such a good friend.

Most new parents are full of good intentions of keeping a diary or at least a scrap book of all those special memories with their young children. Many people start writing an account of the exciting events in the baby's life, but this enthusiasm slowly begins to dwindle away as real life takes a hold and the parents are deeply involved in nappy changing, visiting grandparents, finding time to hunt and gather food at the local supermarket and generally multi-task. But a truly fantastic and imaginative baby gifts that will help the doting but tired parents to stick to their intentions of writing accounts of life is the My Life Story – 100 Year Diary. This attractive and very fat book has a lovely black cover, and there really is enough space in here to write a bestselling autobiography, or biography in the case of the introduction which is written by the ghost writers themselves, Mum and Dad. As soon as baby learns to write, he or she will love to hear stories from babyhood as well as contributing some words too, as well as drawings, photos and all sorts of keepsakes, concert tickets and so on. Not many people can say that their lives have been documented from birth, not unless they are Royal Family members that is, or some celeb's unfortunate offspring hounded from day 1 by the paparazzi. This great baby gift is a must for all budding authors, and it is never too early to get them started.

Babies have the most amazing eyes. They have no learnt inhibitions, so staring hard at something or someone is the thing to do if you are a small baby. A great baby gift for marking the occasion of the important arrival is a lovely Baby Blue Eyes – Pocket Garden. This imaginative and rewarding baby gift consists of a sealed packet inside which is all the makings of a baby size garden. It holds the compost needed as well as the seeds, so all the busy parents have to do is snip off the top of the packet of this baby gift, water it and enjoy the Baby Blue Eyes flowers that eventually germinate and flower.

This new baby has a big world out there just waiting to be discovered, so when he or she grows up and wants to go travelling, money will be required. What better way to save for all those adventures than with a lovely baby gift of a New Baby Camper Van Money Box. This stylish baby gift is in the form of a silver plated old style camper van, making it an ideal place to store all that pocket money that needs to be saved in order for baby to become a surfer dude or mountaineer. Baby gifts with this kind of elegance and originality are hard to find, and this baby gifts will last well into adulthood without ever appearing childish.
