At last there is a new kid on the block. The new baby has arrived, receiving a torrent of excited visitors, all eager to catch a glimpse of this new life as soon as possible, as though it was suddenly going to erupt into a fully grown adult in the next few days. People love to set eyes on the new born child as early as possible. Babies do change rapidly in the first few weeks of their lives. They start increasing their weight, grow bigger, and learn new and basic skills like looking around at their surroundings, attempting eye contact and doing the windy smile thing that is so cute. All the time their development is improving, they are receiving baby gifts, at first on a daily basis and in truck loads almost, but gradually, as word finishes filtering through the grapevine that the next great genius has put in an appearance, the baby gifts begin to dwindle in regularity.
