Tips for finding gifts in the online jungle | Gifts from GettingPersonal.co.uk
Online shopping is truly a jungle for the uninitiated, however once you've cracked it; you'll be hooked on its benefits!
Old style shopping for gifts
Consider for example the 'old' style of shopping. Saturday morning and you're queuing for car parking spaces in town along with several hundred other cars - all desperate to get a decent spot in the multi-storey or town centre car park. Once you've paid the extortionate amount for your day's parking, you trudge along to the high street and join the throng of other shoppers, all of whom are barging about with big bags and apparently no sense of direction! Mentally lowering your blood pressure after being rammed in the legs for the tenth time by passing carrier bags, bikes or buggies, you head towards your favourite stores in search of presents for your loved ones. You spend time trying to locate what you are looking for. The shop has sold out. You head to another store and find that the selection of options is smaller than you'd imagined. You realise you need to buy it anyway, as the car parking ticket is due to expire, and then have to stand for ages in the queue while the Saturday girl grapples with the till! Then upon leaving the store, your carrier bag breaks and the heavens open, leaving you to trudge to your car with your now-wet purchases and generally feeling a little grumpy and sore of feet!
Of course, this is an extreme - and not entirely serious - example scenario of high street shopping. Certainly the 'real' shops are great for certain things such as clothes shopping when you need to try items on, but for things such as
gifts
, you are far better online where the benefits are numerous! Consider how the online shopping experience might differ...
Gifts online - in with the new!
Firstly you log on, in your pyjamas and clutching a cup of tea. Nice. You spend time at leisure browsing through the extensive online gifts catalogue. You are pleased to see that the prices of many gifts are lower than in the high street, and that you can find ideas for gifts that you'd never even considered or heard of before. You can do comparisons and order different colours and product features. Many gifts are customisable, such as engraved and personalised
gifts
, and there's a huge choice of different things. You can build up your online shopping basket and save it while you make breakfast. Upon returning well fed, you can decide what you want to buy, order gift wrapping and cards at the same time and pay for the gifts order online, specifying any details for delivery at the same time.
Then job done, gifts ordered, you are free to go about your day in peace and avoid the heaving high street! Even better, the gifts you've chosen will be delivered neatly packaged to your door - leaving you without the stress of carrying things to the car or attempting to fit larger items into a tiny boot.
So much choice...
One of the main benefits of online shopping is most definitely the breadth of choice. Many things you may not find at your local store will be in front of you at the click of a button - particularly true if you live away from towns or cities and just have a corner shop and takeaway at your disposal! You may want to look at things such as engraved or personalised gifts. For example, you can order personalised high quality premier cuvee champagne with a personalised label and message attached. This gift comes neatly boxed and is a perfect gift for a special celebration such as a birthday, anniversary or graduation. There's even a Hollywood version with exploding fireworks on the label for a really glamorous gift! You might also be surprised by the breadth of gifts available in quirky and unusual categories such as the 'learn it' range which teaches the recipient a new skill! Great gifts in this category include the Wellbeing gift box which teaches all the secrets of becoming healthy and well - and then actually achieving a qualification at the end of it! Everything to learn the secrets of balance and harmony are inside and it teaches expert facts and techniques on key health areas such as the immune system. At the end the recipient will complete a test and receive an NVQ level 2 nationally recognised qualification - so who knows, your choice of
gifts
may even see them head off on a new career! Now that really would be a case of gifts that keep on giving!!
