Tis the season to be Jolly – funny and fun stocking Fillers

27 November 2008

Whether it's the promise of presents, the good food or simply having time off work to spend with your family, there's something about Christmas that seems to bring out the joy in all of us. It might be dark and cold outside, a recession may well be looming, but if we can't have a laugh at Christmas then what hope have we got? For gifts that are bound to get the giggles going this year, why not invest in some funny and fun stocking fillers?

Stocking Fillers to Use around the House

It is often the case where the best types of gifts are those things that we use on a daily basis; items around the home that we perhaps take for granted, but suddenly learn to appreciate a whole lot more when they are given a unique twist. Giving someone a door wedge for Christmas might not seem very generous, but the 'Swiss Cheese Door Wedge' is bound to make a difference. If there's a particular room in the house that lacks a certain 'je ne sais quoi', then clearly it must be missing the 'Hanging Henry Light Pull'. Alright, so that one might not be the most appropriate of stocking fillers for grandma but it made us chuckle. If you happen to know a certain someone who always seems to be doing things around the house, then why not show your appreciation and give a helping hand? Not convinced? Well then at least you could settle for a fabulous pair of 'Glamour Puss Gloves Supermum!' – a little thank you for all the hard work she does.

Lewd, Rude and Crude Stocking Fillers

The British sense of humour may seem strange to others, but when it comes to toilet humour and innuendo, we just can't seem to help ourselves. If it's blushes that you're after this Christmas then there are a variety of stocking fillers to choose from including the 'Maggie Thatcher Nutcracker' – complete with No.10 storage box, it's no surprise this woman was feared by so many men when you see what her latest party trick is! If it's toilet humour that gets them every time then why not indulge them with a novelty toilet roll? Fans of sodoku might find themselves spending more time in the loo with the 'On a Roll Sudoku Toilet Roll'; and the filthy rich will love the 'Millionaire's Loo Roll'. But if it's laughter you want to hear coming from the bathroom this Christmas, pop a 'Skid Marks Loo Roll' or 'On a Roll Bio-Hazard Toilet Roll' in there, and you'll soon find that everyone needs to go.

Stocking Fillers for a Competitive Christmas
Whether it's a friendly game of charades or a fun family board game, there's always room for a bit of competition on Christmas Day, complete of course, with the inevitable arguments about who the real winner is. For some family team fun then the 'Who's In The Bag Game' will decide who the fastest thinkers are; but when it comes to deciding who the real winner is, then only the 'Speeding Granddads' can decide. Just pull back and release to see these OAP's racing on their mobility scooters – small stocking fillers for big laughs.

Stocking Fillers for That Special Someone
If you can't quite bring yourself to say the words or find that you simply can't say it enough, why not put a little romance back into Christmas this year by reminding that special someone just how much you love them? Take inspiration from some true love gifts such as the 'I Love You Pillowcase Set' – it's a clear and direct statement that surely can't be missed. For something a little more subtle, then they're bound to appreciate your sacrifice of giving them your last Rolo with the 'My Last Rolo – Hallmarked Silver' gift, or a 'Silver Love Heart' – another sweetie themed stocking filler that's bound to get those Jingle Bells ringing.

Stocking Fillers they'll Learn To Love

What do you get someone who seems to have everything? What do you get someone who needs bringing down a peg or two? What do you get someone when you really just have no idea what they'd like? The answer: Nothing. Yes, it's true, you could actually give someone the gift of 'Nothing' this year. It's minimalist, it's chic, it's quite literally, a ball of nothing. The 'Control-a-Man Remote Control' might not be his idea of a great Christmas gift and she might not appreciate the 'Control-a-Woman Remote Control', but these fun little gadgets will at least ensure that someone has a fantastic Christmas – it's just a matter of who presses which button first!
