Anyone out of the style loop (or perhaps anyone in it) might not have noticed Flav's individual choice of wedding shoes. Each of his slippers had a very large monogrammed FE upon it, spelling out his and his bride Elisabetta's initials. Romantic? Possibly. Subtle? You decide.

On the one hand, his flamboyant fashion statement should be applauded. After all, he and Benetton were never known to shy away from a bit of publicity, were they? And let's face it; he's the sort of person who can get away with it. But on the other, they might lack a certain refinement that every groom should observe on this most special day.

If only he had checked out GettingPersonal.co.uk's wedding gifts selection! Perhaps he would have opted instead for some understated engraved square diamond design cufflinks, whose monogram would be visible only to his bride? He could have had F and E engraved onto them and carried them around with him for ever. And at £14.95, his bank account would not even have felt a nibble.

Still, when you're jet-setting around the world and managing some of the world's most demanding boy racers, you probably don't get to surf the net all that often. So perhaps he should be let off this time. But hopefully now he'll know where to go when he wants gifts that are tastefully personalised.
