                Tea hasn't always been in a convenient tea bag. Here is a little lesson in History; in 1908 American tea importer Thomas Sullivan decided that in order to cut costs, and send tea samples to clients in small quantities he would distribute the tea into small silk bags. The clients not knowing what to do, placed the whole bag into boiling water, and thus the tea bag was invented. Before this it was loose tea leaves boiled to extract the flavour before it was filtered and drank.
