How to create a photo upload calendar: your step-by-step guide

Creating your very own photo calendar couldn’t be simpler at Getting Personal, but to make the process even easier for you, we’ve put together this handy ‘how to’ guide.

Follow the straightforward steps below and discover brand-new ways to shape your year with Getting Personal’s high quality personalised photo calendars.

Step 1:

Choose your photo upload calendar design. We have plenty to choose from online, as well as a selection of family planners and couple’s calendars too. For this guide, we’ll be taking you through the steps required to create a simple photo upload calendar, perfect for filling with all your plans for 2025.

Step 2:

Once you’ve chosen your calendar design, you can choose whether you’d like an A5 desk calendar, or an A3 or A4 wall calendar.

At this stage, you’ll also be able to choose which month you’d like your calendar to start from using a simple dropdown menu, as well as how many calendars you’d like to purchase. If you’re personalising one of our family planners, it is at this stage of the process you’ll be asked to add the number of family members you’d like including on each page of the calendar.

Note: our planner calendars are only available in one size, and you’ll be asked to fill in the names of your family members when you click through to the ‘personalise’ section.

Step 3:

Click on the ‘Personalise’ button to begin the customisation process. You’ll then be able to personalise the front cover of your photo upload calendar.

Choose the element of the cover you’d like to personalise and upload a photo from your device, or choose a photo from your pre-uploaded collection. You’ll be able to adjust your photo to fit the front over. If you’ve chosen a design with personalised text, this is also where you can type in your message.

Confirm your personalisation once you’re happy with it and you’ll be shown a preview of your front cover design.

Step 4:

You’ll see an arrow next to the image of your calendar’s front cover. Click on the ‘right’ arrow and you’ll be taken through to the first page of your photo upload calendar. Just like you did with the cover, you can then upload a photo from your device or gallery and amend it to suit.

Step 5:

Repeat this process for the remaining pages of your calendar. Simply keep clicking through to the next page of your calendar using the right hand arrow.

Did you know: you can add filters to each of your images to create different effects for each month.

If you make a mistake or would like to choose a different photo for a previous page, simply click the left hand arrow to go back to the page you require. Don’t forget to click the ‘confirm photo’ button when you’re happy with it.

Step 6:

Once you’ve filled all 12 pages of your calendar with your chosen photos, click on the ‘save & preview’ button to view your completed photo calendar.

You’ll be shown final images of the first 5 pages of your calendar as well as the front cover. Click on ‘preview all pages’ to check the remaining pages of your calendar.

If you’re happy with the design, click ‘add to basket’. If you’d like to make any final changes to your photo calendar, click ‘edit’ and you’ll be taken back to the personalisation page. It’s that simple!

Remember, this process will vary slightly depending on the calendar type you choose, but we hope it’s helped give you an idea on how easy it is to create your very own 2025 calendar, filled with special memories for every single month of the year.
